Code Enforcement 2003 Summer Sweep Tips It is almost that time of year again when the Code Enforcement team conducts the Summer Sweep of every residential and commercial property in the City of Brooklyn Center. The sweep begins on May 1 st and is now in its sixth year. The goal of the program is to keep our city clean as well as maintain good relations among neighbors. Over the years the awareness of this program has grown and the number of violations have been reduced because residents are cleaning up their properties year round. The following is a list of the twenty most common violations that the team will be looking for. If a violation is found, we will generate letters to homeowners explaining the violation and the amount of time given to comply with city codes. It is important to remember that residents are given two chances to comply with City codes before a citation may be issued.
