Registration for fall classes and programs begins Saturday, September 11, at the Brooklyn Center Community Center (except where noted in class descriptions). Numbers will be distributed one hour prior to registration. Sorry, no phone registration. Registration for swim lessons, conducted at the community center and North View Jr. High pools, will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11 at the community center. Sorry, mail registrations will not be accepted for swim lessons. Registration for other classes and activities begins at 11 a.m. Mail registrations will be processed beginning Monday, Sept. 13. Senior adult registration begins Friday, Sept. 10. Doors open at 8:30 a.m., registration follows. 2. On the opening day of registration, Saturday, Sept. 11, a person may sign up for themselves or their immediate family. After 3 p.m. on this day, you may register for as many as you wish. 3. The parks and recreation office located in the community center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.- 10 p.m.; Saturday from 8:30 a.m.- 9 p.m.; Sunday from 11:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. 4. Where classes are limited, registration will be on a first -come, first- served basis. Persons are not considered registered until the fee has been paid. The parks and recreation department reserves the right to cancel classes or activities when an insufficient number of people signed up. 5. Instructor will not be permitted to accept registration at the activity location. 6. Should you find it necessary to transfer to a different class, it may be done if an opening exists by paying a 50 cent transfer fee. All transfers must be done in person at the community center. Individual classes can not be made up. 7. Refund procedure: Requests for refunds must be made at least 24 hours before the first class session. There will be a $3 service charge. If you find it necessary to cancel after the first class, make your request 24 hours BEFORE the SECOND class. The class will be prorated plus there will be a $4 service charge. Refunds are mailed to participants in check form. Please allow 2 -3 weeks for check. The refund procedure for holiday classes and special one session classes are noted in the class description. 8. Sorry, no trip refunds unless canceled by the parks & recreation department. 9. Persons who register for an activity where capacity enrollment has already been reached will go on a waiting list.
