Registration for spring classes and programs begins Sat., March 12 at the Brooklyn Center Community Center (except where noted in class descriptions). Numbers will be distributed one hour prior to registration. Sorry, no phone registration. Registration for swim lessons, conducted at the community center and North View Jr. High pools, will begin at 9 a.m. on Sat., March 12 at the conununity center. Sorry, mail registrations will not be accepted for swim lessons. Registration for other classes and activities begins at 11 a.m. Mail registrations will be processed beginning Mon. March 14. Senior adult registration begins Fri., March 11. Doors open at 8:30 a.m., registration follows. 2. On Sat. March 12, the opening day of registration, a person may sign up for themself or their immediate family. After 3 p.m on this day, you may register for as many as you wish. 3. The parks and recreation office located in the community center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Sunday from 11:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. 4. Where classes are limited, registration will be on a first -come, first -served basis. Persons are not registered until the fee has been paid. The parks and recreation department reserves the right to cancel classes or activities when an insufficient number of people have signed up. 5. Instructors will not be permitted to accept registration at the activity location. 6. Refund procedure: Requests for refunds must be made at least 24 hours before the first class session. There will be a $3 service charge. If you find it necessary to cancel after the first class, make your request 24 hours BEFORE the SECOND class. The class will be prorated plus there will be a $4 service charge. Refunds are mailed to participants in check form. Please allow 2 -3 weeks for your refund. The refund procedure for holiday classes and special one session classes are noted in the class description. 7. Sorry, no trip refunds unless cancelled by the parks and recreation department. 8. Persons who register for an activity where capacity enrollment has already been reached will be placed on a waiting list. Additional classes may be formed if there are sufficient requests and if space and a competent instructor are available. 9. Senior adults, 62 years and older, who are residents of Brooklyn Center will receive $10 off the registration fee of any adult activity class $20 or more. This does not apply to supplies, special senior classes which are already reduced, or classes less than $20. Other exceptions will be noted in class descriptions. 10.
