Brooklyn Center co- sponsors sixth annual remodeling fair On Saturday April 4, the sixth annual remodeling fair will come to the Crystal Community Center. Featuring seventy-five exhibits and eight seminars hosted by local contractors and businesses specializing in remodeling, the fair will give you all the information you need to complete your remodeling projects. Seminars will be held throughout the morning. They include remodeling kitchens, interior design, decks and porches, landscaping and home ventilation problems and solutions. In addition to the free seminars, professional architects will be available throughout the day to review and discuss your remodeling plans with you at no cost. The fair is free to the public and will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Crystal Community Center, located at 4800 Douglas Drive North in Crystal. Prizes will be awarded throughout the day and refreshments will be sold. The fair is sponsored by the cities of Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Crystal, New Hope, Plymouth, Robbinsdale and Northwest Hennepin Human Services Council. CHILDCARE SERVICE MINIMUM AGE - 4 MONTHS The Brooklyn Center Community Center "PLAY CORNER" will be provided for parents attending morning classes, programs, meetings or swimming at the Brooklyn Center Community Center. The cost is $1.25 per child for an hour and a half. Additional time is $1 an hour. The minimum age is four months. (Babies under four months in infant seats may accompany parents to their classes.) On non school days, elementary age children are welcome to go to the "PLAY CORNER". The "PLAY CORNER" will be open regular hours, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. and Tuesday evening classes, 5:45 - 8:15 p.m. After classes or swimming, parents are invited to relax in our concession area before picking up their child.
