WIIf;RI��.i1S. Con�ress ad<�pted the nmerican Rescue I'lan nct in March 2021 ��
("nRN�1") which i►�cludcd $65 billion in rccovc�y Cunds for citics across thc country.
WI II�:RI?nS. nRPA iunds are intendecl to providc support to st�lte, local, and tribal I
�o��rrnments in respondin� to the impact <�f COVI[�-19 and i�� their eftorts to contain COVII�-19 '
in thcir communities, residents, and businesses.
WI fl?REnS, $3,247,524.40 has bcen allocated to the City oi� Brooklyn Center ��
("City��) pur�uant to the ARI'A ("Allocation").
WI II�,RF,AS, the United States nepartment ��t� 'I�reasury has adopted �uidance
rc�,ardin� thc usc of ARP�1 f�unds. ��
WI{ERF,�1S, thc City, in responsc to thc Pandcmic, has had cxpenditures and �
antici��ates future expenditures consistcnt with the [�epartment ��f'I'reasury's /�RPA �uidance. ,
WHI:REAS, the State of Minnesota will distribute ARPA funds to the City because �
its ����pulation is lcss tha�� 50,000.
