HomeMy WebLinkAbout2021-144 CCRMember Lawrence -Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0.2021-144 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING A CONTRACT, FOR VEHICLE EXHAUST CAPTURE SYSTEM FOR THE FIRE STATIONS WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for a vehicle exhaust capture system, bids were received, opened and tabulated on the 29t" day of October, 2021. Said bids were as follows: Bidder Amount TNC Industries $11 %972.00 WHEREAS, the deputy chief within the fire department, recommends that the contract be awarded based on the total bid; WHEREAS, it appears that TNC Industries, Inc. of Wayzata, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with TIC Industries, Inc. of Wayzata, Minnesota in the name of the City of Brooklyn Center, for vehicle exhaust capture system, according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the fire department with the deputy fire chief. 2. The estimated project costs and revenues are as follows: COSTS Estimated Low Bid Installation and Equipment Cost $ 1565384 $119,972 TOTAL November 22 2021 Date City Clerk $ 156,384 $119,972 Mayor RESOLUTION NO. LUL1-144 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Ryan and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof. Butler, Elliott, Graves, Lawrence -Anderson, Ryan and the following voted against the same: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
