RESOLUTION NO. 2022-39
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING VOTING PRECINCTS AND DESIGNATING
POLLING PLACES FOR THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER, MN
WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center was divided into in seven voting
precincts described by Resolution No. 2012-43, adopted by the City Council March 12, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of Minnesota has been redistricted; and
WHEREAS, city staff has engaged a selected number of residents to gain input
regarding re-establishing the voting precincts; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute Section 204B.14, subd. 3 (d) requires that
precinct boundaries must be re-established within 60 days of when the legislature has been
redistricted of at least 19 weeks before the state primary election, whichever comes first; and
WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center has been redistricted into six voting
precincts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center,Minnesota,that the boundaries of the voting precincts are hereby established and
the polling places are hereby designated as follows:
PRECINCT 1 - Earle Brown Heritage Center, 6155 Earle Brown Drive
South boundary: commencing at the southeast City limits at the Mississippi River and the
centerline of 53rd Avenue North; west to Shingle Creek.
West boundary: commencing at the intersection of Shingle Creek and the south City limits;north
to the centerline of County Road 10; east on the centerline of County Road 10 to the centerline of
Shingle Creek Parkway; north on the centerline of Shingle Creek Parkway to the center line of
John Martin Drive.
North boundary: commencing at the centerline of John Martin Drive and Shingle Creek Parkway;
southeasterly along the centerline of John Martin Drive to the southwest property corner of 5721
Logan Avenue North; northeast to the centerline of Logan Avenue North and Lilac Drive North;
northeast on the centerline of Lilac Drive North to the centerline of 59th Avenue North; east along
59th Avenue North to the City limits at the Mississippi River.
East boundary: commencing at the centerline of 59th Avenue North and the east City limit of the
Mississippi River; south along the east City limit to the centerline of 53rd Avenue North.
PRECINCT 2 -Earle Brown Heritage Center, 6155 Earle Brown Drive
South boundary: commencing at the centerline of County Road 10 at the intersection of Shingle
Creek; east along the centerline of County Road 10 to the centerline of Shingle Creek Parkway;

southeasterly along the centerline of John Martin Drive to the southwest property corner of 5721

59th Avenue North to the City limits at the Mississippi River.

94/694 and Shingle Creek; west along I-94/694 to the centerline of Xerxes Avenue North
(southeast property corner of 3001 67th Avenue North); north to the centerline of Shingle Creek
Parkway;northwest along the centerline of Shingle Creek Parkway to the centerline of 69th Avenue
North.
North boundary: commencing at the centerline of 69th Avenue North and Shingle Creek
Parkway;east along the centerline of 69th Avenue North to the centerline of Dupont Avenue North;
south along the centerline of Dupont Avenue North to the centerline of 65th Avenue North; east on
the centerline of 65th Avenue North to the centerline of Willow Lane; north along the centerline of
Willow Lane to the north property line of 6524 Willow Lane; east along the north property line of
6524 Willow Lane to the City limits at the Mississippi River.
East boundary: commencing at the north property line of 6524 Willow Lane and the east City
limits at the Mississippi River; south along the City limits at the Mississippi River to the centerline
of 59th Avenue North.
PRECINCT 3 - Evergreen Park Elementary School, 7020 Dupont Ave N
South boundary: commencing at the east City limits at the Mississippi River and the north
property line of 6524 Willow Lane; west to the centerline of Willow Lane; south on the centerline
of Willow Lane to the centerline of 65th Avenue North;west on the centerline of 65th Avenue North
to the centerline of Dupont Avenue North; north on the centerline of Dupont Avenue North to the
centerline of 69th Avenue North;west on the centerline of 69th Avenue North to the intersection of
Shingle Creek Parkway; west along the centerline of 69th Avenue North to the intersection of
Palmer Lake Drive West.
West boundary: commencing at the intersection of 69th Avenue North and Palmer Lake Drive
West; north along the centerline of Palmer Lake Drive West to the north City limits.
North boundary: commencing at the centerline of Palmer Lake Drive West and the north City
limits; east along the north City limits to the northeast City limits at the Mississippi River.
East boundary: commencing at the northeast City limits at the Mississippi River south from the
centerline of 73rd Avenue North to the north property line of 6524 Willow Lane.
PRECINCT 4 - Spiritual Life Church,6865 Shingle Creek Parkway
South boundary: commencing at the intersection of I-94/694 and Xerxes Avenue North
(southeast property corner of 3001 67th Avenue North); west along the centerline of I-94/694 to
the west City limits.
West boundary: commencing at the west City limits at the centerline of I-94/694; north to the

North boundary: commencing at the northwest City limits; east to the centerline of Palmer Lake
Drive West.
East boundary: commencing at the north City limits at the centerline of Palmer Lake Drive West;
south along the centerline of Palmer Lake Drive West to the centerline of 69th Avenue North; east
along the centerline of 69th Avenue North to the centerline extension of Xerxes Avenue North(175
feet southeast of the intersection of Shingle Creek Parkway), south along the centerline of Xerxes
Avenue North to the centerline of I-94/694(southeast property corner of 3001 67th Avenue North).
PRECINCT 5-Brooklyn Center Community Center, 6301 Shingle Creek Parkway
South boundary: commencing at the west City limit and 61st Avenue North; east on 61st Avenue
North to the east property lines of 4112 61st Avenue North;north on the east property lines of 4112
61st Avenue North to the north property lines of 4106 61st Avenue north, east along the rear lot
lines of 4100, 4012, 4006, 4000, 3918, 3912, 3906, 3900, 3824, 3818 61st Avenue North, east
along the north property line of 3 808 61st Avenue North; continuing east on 61st Avenue North to
Brooklyn Boulevard; continuing east on the north property lines of 6100 and 6101 Brooklyn
Boulevard, 3318, 3312, 3306, 3300, 3218, 3212, 3206, 3200, 3118, 3112, 3106, 3100, 3018, 3012,
3006 61'Avenue North, then 6101 and 6030 Xerxes Avenue North, to Shingle Creek. (following
the south border of the Osseo #279 School District)
West boundary: commencing at the centerline of 61' Avenue North and the west City limits;
north to the centerline of I-94/694.

South boundary: commencing at the intersection of Shingle Creek at the south City limits; west
following the south City boundary to the southwest City limits at Middle Twin Lake.
West boundary: commencing at the southwest City limits at Middle Twin Lake, north following
the west City limits to the centerline of 61st Avenue North.
North boundary: commencing at the west City limit and 61st Avenue North; east on 61 St Avenue
North to the east property lines of 4112 61st Avenue North; north to the north property lines of
4106 61st Avenue north, east along the rear lot lines of 4100, 4012, 4006, 4000, 3918, 3912, 3906,
3900, 3824, 3818 61'Avenue North, east along the north property line of 3808 61st Avenue North;
continuing east on 61st Avenue North to Brooklyn Boulevard;continuing east on the north property

Ryan
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:

and the following voted against the same: None
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
