HomeMy WebLinkAbout2022-084 CCR Member Ryan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER HENNEPIN COUNTY RESOLUTION NO. 2022-84 RESOLUTION APPROVING SUMMARY PUBLICATION OF AN ORDINANCE NO. 2022-06 AMENDING CHAPTER 35 OF THE CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES REGARDING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN LANDS LOCATED AT 5900 SHINGLE CREEK PARKWAY AND 2500 COUNTY ROAD 10 FROM C2 (COMMERCE) DISTRICT TO PUD/TOD (PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT/TRANSIT-ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT) DISTRICT, AND REMOVING SAID PROPERTY FROM THE CENTRAL COMMERCE OVERLAY DISTRICT. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center acted at its August 22, 2022 meeting to adopt Ordinance No. 2022-06, "an ordinance amending chapter 35 of the City Code of Ordinances regarding the Zoning Classification of Certain Lands located at 5900 Shingle Creek Parkway and 2500 County Road 10 from C2 (Commerce) District to PUD/TOD (Planned Unit Development/Transit-Oriented District and removing said property from the Central Commerce Overlay District, and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, section 412.191, subdivision 4 allows publication of adopted ordinances by title and summary in the case of lengthy ordinances or those containing maps or charts; and WHEREAS,the City Council determines publishing the entire text of the Ordinance is not in the best interests of the City as the Ordinance is readily available to the public on the City's website and by contacting City Hall; and WHEREAS, the City Council determines the following summary clearly informs the public of the intent of Ordinance and where to obtain a copy of the full text. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center hereby approves publication of the following summary language as publication of the Ordinance: CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER SUMMARY PUBLICATION Ordinance No. 2022-06 RESOLUTION APPROVING SUMMARY PUBLICATION OF AN ORDINANCE NO. 2022-06 AMENDING CHAPTER 35 OF THE CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES REGARDING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN LANDS LOCATED AT 5900 SHINGLE CREEK PARKWAY AND 2500 COUNTY ROAD 10 FROM C2 (COMMERCE) DISTRICT TO PUD/TOD (PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT/TRANSIT-ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT) DISTRICT, AND REMOVING SAID PROPERTY FROM THE CENTRAL COMMERCE OVERLAY DISTRICT. The Brooklyn Center City Council adopted the above-referenced ordinance Chapter 35 removing the property from the Central Commerce Overlay District(CC) and adding it to Section 35-1240 Planned Unit Development District (PUD) August 22, 2022 Date Mayor ATTEST: r,JLL 11 a t City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Graves and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Butler, Elliott, Graves, Lawrence-Anderson, Ryan and the following voted against the same: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
