HomeMy WebLinkAbout2022-095 CCR Member Graves introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2022-95 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND CALLING FOR AN IMPROVEMENT PUBLIC HEARING FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 2023-03, 51 ST AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center City Council, by Resolution No. 2022-71, directed the preparation of a feasibility report regarding proposed improvements to the streets, storm drainage system and public utilities in the Slst Avenue improvement area; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared said report and recommends that the proposed improvements be considered; and WHEREAS, a portion of the cost of street improvements for said project is proposed to be assessed against properties within the project area; and WHEREAS, the total project cost for the Slst Avenue Street, Storm Drainage and Utility Improvements is estimated to be $380,000; the total cost of the street improvement portion of said project is estimated to be $270,000 and the project funding sources are currently estimated to be: Special Assessments $ 97,850.00 Sanitary Sewer Utility Fund $ 10,000.00 Water Utility Fund $ 10,000.00 Storm Drainage Utility Fund $ 70,000.00 Street Light Utility Fund $ 20,000.00 Street Reconstruction Fund $ 172,150.00 Total $ 380,000.00 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota,that: 1. The Engineer's Feasibility Report for the 515� Avenue Improvements is received and accepted. 2. Notice is hereby given that an improvement public hearing will be held on the 24th day of October, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as part of the regular City Council meeting as the matter may be heard to pass upon said improvement project and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by said improvements will be given the opportunity to be heard with reference to said improvements. 3. The City Clerk is directed to cause a notice of the improvement public hearing RESOLUTION NO. 2022-95 '� to be pwblished in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the public hearing, and shall state in the notice the total c e impro ent.
