of the Area West of Kvlawn Park.
The commi.tt-ee studied aerial. photographs sent over by Al
Fisher of the Conservation Department of the area v*estr of Xylawn
Park.. These photos also showed the types of soil in and
around the park area.
Sylvia Winkelman suggested we write our Froposal concerniig
fencing (type, total cost., how many feet needed, etc_) as soon
as possible so it could be presented to both City managers (Crystal
and Brooklyn Center).
A motion was made and seconded to ask speaker -Paul Tjare,
to speak at one of two dates, January 11 or January 18th, at.
7;30. We plan to invite other :interested groups in also.
Carl VogLL 'cold us he and the Boy Scout Troop 304 had ma,?ped
the area West of Xyl.awnn Park, but must put the map together
before he presents it to us.
A notion %aas made and seconded on fencing to combine the
use of old tel e-L:hone poles, in heavy probl erm areas, and plan'_-ings
such as rickl.ey Ash?, Sumac, etc. Carl. Vogt. will give us
. incoinuation on ?ale to acquire the large num'oe±- of plantings we
will need for this area.
A. motion was =made and seconded to make the size of the signs
in t~hL area appro`- mat:el.y 21 x 8' x 6" and 2 t x 101 6". These
signs would then be bolted to the telephone pasts and -vaoul,d read.-
Wildlife area - No 4o prized Vehicles Allowed.
A motion was made and seconded to get the sign posts in before
December and then later attach the signs to them.
A w.ct:.i.on was made and seconded to place three signs in 11.1,7e
the area.,
