Conservation Commission of the City

February 3, 1970
The first regular meeting of the Conservation Commission
was called to order by Chairman Audre Mossberg at 8:05 P.M.
Roll call: Chairman Audre Mossberg, Commissioners Sylvia
Winkelman, William Price, Peter Simmons, Bonnie Snater and Brian
Murn. Also present were Mr. Don Gunderson and Mrs. Theodore
Willard.
Following announcements, Chairman Mossberg reviewed for the
Commission a meeting she attended, including Don Poss, City
Manager, and Administrative Assistant Bob Haarman, which outlined
staff and administrative assistance available to the Commission.
The next item of business consisted of a review of the
activities of the Park Department and the Park and Recreation
Commission. The presentation, given by Director of Parks and
Recreation Eugene Bagel and Park and Recreation Commission
Chairman Don Reichel, included a review of proposed developments
within the Palmer Lake Basin and other City park areas.
(Staff member Bob Haarman arrived at 9:10 P.M.)
The remainder of the meeting consisted of a discussion by
the Commission of various subjects receiving their consideration
including an outline of tentative responsibilities put together
by Chairman Mossberg with the help of the Commission.
The meeting was called adjourned by chairman Mossberg at
10:30 P.M.
