HomeMy WebLinkAbout1999-117 CCRMember Kay lasman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 99-117 RESOLUTION AMENDING THE SCHEDULE FOR AMUSEMENT DEVICE LICENSE FEES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center adopted Resolution No. 97-180 on October 14, 1997, relating to a schedule for various license fees; and WHEREAS, in the 1999 Legislative Session, S. F. No. 1329 was passed relating to limiting license fees on coin and currency activated amusement machines; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 449; and WHEREAS, S. F. No. 1329 is effective August 1, 1999; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the schedule for amusement device license fees be amended as follows: Amusement Device Operator $15/location, plus $15/device 1 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the effective date of this resolution is August 1, 1999. July 26, 1999 Date ATTEST: City Clerk Q Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Ed Nelson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Myrna Kragness, Debra Hilstrom, Kay lasman, Ed Nelson, and Robert Peppe; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
