HomeMy WebLinkAbout1999-129 CCRMember Debra Hilstrom introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 99-129 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING CONTRACT, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1999-20, CONTRACT 1999-L, AZELIA AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project No. 1999-20, bids were received, opened, and tabulated by the City Clerk and Engineer on the 23rd day of August, 1999. Said bids were as follows: Bidder Thomas & Sons North Valley, Inc. Bituminous Roadways, Inc. Hardrives, Inc. Bid Opened Amount $81,470.45 $81,895.55 $90,779.50 $94,218.75 Corrected Total $94,218.95 WHEREAS, it appears that Thomas and Sons is the lowest responsible bidder. 1 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that: The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Thomas and Sons of Rogers, Minnesota in the name of the City of Brooklyn Center, for Improvement Project Nos. 1999-20, according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract is signed. 3. The estimated project costs and revenues are as follows: COSTS Contract Admin/Legal/Engr.
