RESOLUTION NO. 99-145
RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A PRELIMINARY TAX LEVY FOR 2000
APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE GENERAL FUND, THE STREET
IMPROVEMENT DEBT SERVICE FUNDS, THE POLICE & FIRE BUILDING
DEBT SERVICE FUNDS, THE E.D.A. FUND, AND THE H.R.A. FUND
BUDGETS
WHEREAS, The City of Brooklyn Center is annually required by Charter and state
law to approve a resolution setting forth an annual tax levy to Hennepin County; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota statutes require certification of a proposed tax levy to
Hennepin County on or before September 15, 1999.
. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center as follows:
1. There is hereby levied upon all taxable property lying within the City of Brooklyn
Center, a proposed tax levy of the following sums for the purpose indicated:
GENERAL FUND 6,703,995
STREET IMPROVEMENT DEBT SERVICE-94 68,193
STREET IMPROVEMENT DEBT SERVICE-95 69,126
STREET IMPROVEMENT DEBT SERVICE-96 120,242
POLICE & FIRE BLDG DEBT SERVICE 783,012
TOTAL GENERAL FUND $7,744,568
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY 208,495
HOUSING & REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY 149,516
$8,102,579
2. The City Clerk shall cause a copy of this resolution to be certified to Hennepin
County so that said sum shall be spread upon the tax rolls and will be payable in the year 2000.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Ed Nelson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof.
Myrna Kragness, Debra Hilstrom, Kay Lasman, Ed Nelson, and Robert Peppe;
and the following voted against the same: none,
