HomeMy WebLinkAbout1998-236 CCRMember Kay Lasman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 98-236 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR BID DIVISION 3092-EB: ACOUSTICAL CEILINGS WHEREAS, the following bids were received and opened on November 18, 1998, for Bid Division 3092-EB: Acoustical Ceilings: Bidder J3id &Mount Twin City Acoustics $3,965.00 WHEREAS, it appears that Twin City Acoustics, of New Hope, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that: i . The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Twin City Acoustics, of New Hope, Minnesota in the name of the City of Brooklyn Center, for Bid Division 3092-EB: Acoustical Ceilings according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. December 14. 1998 Date ATTEST: ~lXII~Yt City Clerk Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Kathleen Carmody and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Myrna Kragness, Kathleen Carmody, Debra Hilstrom, Kay Lasman, and Robert Peppe; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
