RESOLUTION NO. 99-09
RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION AND APPRECIATION OF
KATHLEEN CARMODY FOR HER DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE AS
COUNCIL MEMBER
WHEREAS, Kathleen Carmody served as a member of the Brooklyn Center City
Council from January 1, 1995, through December 31, 1998; and
WHEREAS, her service to the City and her consistent leadership have contributed
substantially to the sound progress and development of the City, especially in the 53rd Avenue
Redevelopment Project; and
WHEREAS, her public service and civic effort for the betterment of the community
merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center; and
WHEREAS, it is highly appropriate that her services and achievements for the
betterment of the City be permanently recognized and expressed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center that Kathleen Carmody is hereby recognized and appreciated by the City of
Brooklyn Center and this resolution serves as a visible and lasting expression of gratitude for the
leadership and service she has rendered and the benefits she has secured to the citizens of the City
of Brooklyn Center.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Kay Lasman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof:
Myrna Kragness, Debra Hilstrom, Kay Lasman, Ed Nelson, and Robert Peppe;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
