HomeMy WebLinkAbout1998-197 CCRMember Kathleen Carmody introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 98-197 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CONTRACT FOR MINNESOTA TEAMSTERS PUBLIC AND LAW ENFORCEMENT EMPLOYEES' UNION, LOCAL #320 (DEPARTMENT HEADS) AND THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER FOR THE CALENDAR YEARS 1998 & 1999 WHEREAS, Section 2.07 of the City Charter for the City of Brooklyn Center states that the City Council is to fix the salary or wages of all officers and employees of the City; and WIMREAS, an Arbitrator has awarded to Teamsters Employees' Union, Local #320 (Department Heads) a contract for the years 1998 and 1999 as attached; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute the attached contract with Teamsters Local #320 (Department Heads) for calendar years 1998 and 1999 pursuant to the Arbitrator's award; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that authorized wage and benefit adjustments not to exceed the maximum contained herein shall become effective according to the schedule of the contract which commences January 1, 1998.
