HomeMy WebLinkAbout1998-078 CCRMember Kathleen Carmody introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 98-78 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING CONTRACT, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1998-26, CONTRACT 1998-G, RELOCATION OF 16" WATER MAIN & APPURTENANCES AT WEST FIRE STATION WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 98-53, the following bids were received and opened on May 6, 1998, for Improvement Project No. 1998-26, Contract 1998-G, Relocation of 16" Water Main & Appurtenances at West Fire Station; and aidders Northdale Construction $64,741.96 Penn Contracting, Inc. $66,400.00 Valley-Rich Company, Inc. $72,869.00 WHEREAS, it appears that Northdale Construction of Rogers, Minnesoat is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that: 1. The Mayor and City. Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Northdale Construction of Rogers, Minnesota in the name of the City of Brooklyn Center, for Improvement Project No. 1998-26 according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized an directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. f RESOLUTION NO. 98-78 3. Myrna Kragness, Kathleen Carmody, Debra Hilstrom, Kay Lasman, and Robert Peppe; and the following voted against the same: none whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
