HomeMy WebLinkAbout1998-089 CCRadoption: Member Kathleen Carmody introduced the following resolution and moved its RESOLUTION NO. 98-89 RESOLUTION DECLARING EARLE BROWN DAYS AS A CIVIC EVENT FROM JUNE 25 THROTJGH JUNE 28. 1998 WHEREAS, the purpose of Earle Brown Days is to promote the City of Brooklyn Center, its people, and amenities; and WHEREAS, residents, the city community civic groups, and businesses participate in the annual civic celebration to demonstrate the vitality of the City of Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, in order for Earle Brown Days, Inc. to schedule certain events requiring City-issued administrative land use permits, it is necessary for Earle Brown Days to be declared a civic event. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that Earle Brown Days are declared a civic event from June 25, 1998 through June 28, 1998. May 96-,_j ()99 Date 1 ATTEST: City Clerk Y mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Kay Lasman , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Myrna Kragness, Kathleen Carmody, Debra Hilstrom, Kay Lasman, and Robert Peppe; and the following voted against the same: none whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
