HomeMy WebLinkAbout1998-148 CCRMember Kay Lasman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 98-148 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR A LAND SURVEY OF CENTRAL PARK WHEREAS, the 1999 Parks Capital Improvement Plan includes a project to improve drainage in Central Park; and WHEREAS, so that this project can be designed in Winter, 1998 and constructed in 1999, it is necessary to conduct a topographic survey this Fall; and work; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer advises that due to workload, City staff are unable to complete this WHEREAS, the City Engineer has obtained two quotes for said land survey services; and WHEREAS, the cost of these professional services are not in the 1998 Capital Improvements Fund budget, but were included in the estimated cost of $90,000 for Central Park Improvements proposed in the 1999 Capital Improvements Fund budget. Minnesota that: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, 1. The quote of Howard R. Green Company in the amount of $4,137 is hereby accepted. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Howard R. Green Company to perform the specified services. 2. The 1998 Capital Improvements Fund budget is hereby amended to provide for this expenditure of $4,137. September 14, 1998 Date ATTEST; City Clerk JMayoi The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Debra Hils trom and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Myrna Kgagness, Kathleen Carmody, Debra Hilstrom, Kay Lasman, and Robert and the following voted against the same: none; Peppe whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
