HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997-167 CCRMember Kathleen Carmody introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 97-167 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A SUB-GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY FOR DISASTER RELIEF WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center incurred substantial costs associated with the high winds and storm of July, 1997; and WHEREAS, Hennepin County has been declared a Disaster Area and agencies which incurred costs for cleanup after these severe storms are eligible for reimbursement of a portion of those costs; and WHEREAS, to be eligible for reimbursement, a Sub-grant Agreement defining terms of reimbursement must be executed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that the City of Brooklyn Center enter into a Sub-grant Agreement with the Division of Emergency Management in the Minnesota Department of Public Safety for the program entitled Infrastructure Program for FEMA 1187-DR-MINNESOTA. City Manager Michael J. McCauley is hereby authorized to execute and sign such Sub-grant Agreements and amendments as are necessary to implement the project on the behalf of the City of Brooklyn Center.
