HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997-192 CCRMember Kathleen Carmody introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 97-192 RESOLUTION CREATING A CITY INITIATIVES GRANT FUND AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PROGRAMS FUNDED BY THE GRANTS WHEREAS, Section 7.11 of the City Charter provides the City Council with the authority to order the creation of such fluids as may be needed to properly account for the financial activities of the City; and WHEREAS, there now exists the need for a special revenue fund to account for projects funded by grants; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That the classification of funds shall be expanded to include a City Initiatives Grant special revenue fund to account for the receipt and disbursement of major grants awarded to the City by the federal government or the State of Minnesota. 2. Grant projects originally authorized by resolutions adopted in 1997 be accounted for in the City Initiatives Grant Fund. The appropriations are created as outlined in the grant agreements and shall be for the period of the grant rather than the calendar year.
