HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997-206 CCRMember Kathleen Caxnnody introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 97-9n6 RESOLUTION DESIGNATING 1998 PLANTING LIST OF ALLOWABLE BOULEVARD TREE SPECIES 1 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center promotes a diverse urban forest so as to minimize the spread of tree disease; and WHEREAS, section 20-402 of the ordinances provides for an annual listing of allowable boulevard tree varieties. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that the following trees are hereby designated as allowable boulevard tree species for 1998: Ash (Autumn Purple) Crabapple (Flowering) & cultivars Ginko Hackberry Honeylocust (Imperial, Shademaster, Skyline, Thornless) November 24, 1997 Date Linden (American) & cultivars Linden (Littleleaf) & cultivars Maple (Norway) & cultivars Maple (Red) & cuitivars Maple (Sugar) & cultivars Oak (Pin) Oak (white or Bur) 1A A4t4-, Mayor/y!~ O ATTEST: J"""t `1.1,-v - City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Kay Lasman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Myrna Kragness, Kathleen Carmody, Kay Lasman, and Robert Peppe; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
