REGULAR SESSION

CALL TO ORDER
The Brooklyn Center Conservation Commission met in regular session and was
called to order by Chairman Mary Ellen Vetter at 7:45 p.m.'
ROLL CALL
Chairman Vetter, Commissioners Lutenegger, Dorff, Jensen, Wesloh and Price.
Also present were Administrative Assistant Brad Hoffman. It was noted that
the other Commissioners had been excused.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES - 2-21-80 and 4-17-80
Motion by Commissioner Dorff, seconded by Commissioner Lutenegger to approve
the minutes of the February 21, 1980 Conservation Commission meeting. The
motion passed unanimously.
Motion by Commissioner Jensen, seconded by Commissioner Dorff to approve the
minutes of the April 17, 1980 Conservation Commission meeting. The motion
passed unanimously.
HOUSING WORKSHOP REVIEW
The first agenda item was a review of the Conservation Commission's housing
workshop that was jointly sponsored with the Housing Commission. It was the
consensus of the group that the seminars were poorly attended. Factors about
the attendance were discussed and it was felt that the weather perhaps had
the most influence on attendance.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRESERVE UPDATE
Chairman:Vetter indicated that she would check on the status of the environmental
preserve and report on that at the next meeting.
CONSERVATION COMMISSION SLIDE COLLECTION
The Commission then reviewed slides of the Commission to be used for future
presentations.
SUMMER SCHEDULE
Chairman Vetter indicated-that the Commission would not be meeting in June
or July. She also noted that Commissioner Price and herself would be hosting
a party in August for the Commission members that would be open to the general
public.
OTHER BUSINESS
Chairman Vetter reported that the Regional Energy Conference to be coordinated
with. Minnesota Energy Agency would be held in December of 1980. She urged
the Commission members to be aware of the date and to try to attend. Com-
missioner Jensen indicated that with the summer coming it might be a good time
to contact other conservation groups in the metro area relative to a joint
meeting.

ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Commissioner Jensen, seconded by Commissioner Dorff to adjourn the
meeting. The motion passed unanimously. The Brooklyn Center Conservation
Commission adjourned at 9:20 p.m.
