CALL TO ORDER The Brooklyn Center Economic Development Authority (EDA) met in Regular Session called to order by President Mike Elliott at 7:43 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL Mayor April Graves and Councilmembers Kris Lawrence-Anderson, Dan Jerzak, and Teneshia Kragness. Councilmember Marquita Butler was absent and excused. Also present were City Manager Reggie Edwards, Assistant City Manager/City Clerk Barb Suciu Director, Director of Fiscal & Support Services Angela Holm, Director of Public Works Elizabeth Heyman, Director of Community Development Jesse Anderson, Fire Chief Todd Berg, Equity and Human Resources Director Jim Langemo, and Recreation Director Cordell Wiseman. 3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND CONSENT AGENDA Commissioner Jerzak moved and Commissioner Kragness seconded to approve the Agenda and Consent Agenda, and the following item was approved: 3a. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1. November 27, 2023 – Regular Session Motion passed unanimously. 4. COMMISSION CONSIDERATION ITEMS 4a. RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FINAL BUDGET FOR THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER, MINNESOTA, FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023 President Graves moved and Commissioner Jerzak seconded to continue the budget discussion to December 18, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. Motion passed unanimously. 12/5/23 -2- 5. RESOLUTION ELECTING OFFICERS FOR THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER, MINNESOTA WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes Section 469.096 provides that an economic development authority shall elect a president, treasurer, and secretary on an annual basis. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Economic Development Authority of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the Authority hereby elects the following officers to serve through December 31, 2024, or such later date as their successors are elected and qualified: President/Treasurer April Graves Vice-President Kris Lawrence-Anderson Assistant Treasurer Marquita Butler Secretary Barb Suciu January 8, 2024 Date President The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by commissioner and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
