HomeMy WebLinkAbout2024-37 CCRMember Butler introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2024-37 RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING AWARDED FUNDS FOR THE HENNEPIN COUNTY ACTIVE LIVING TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FUNDS WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Active Living Technical Assistance Program Grants, provides funds to create healthy, livable, and people -centered communities where people can walk, bike, and take transit to everyday destinations. It supports county priorities including disparity reduction, complete streets, climate resilience, and health equity, and; WHEREAS, The City of Brooklyn Center desires to use the funds to acquire temporary speed tables to address cut -through neighborhood traffic and speeding issues. Speed tables will aid Public Works in planning for permanent solutions. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that: 1. Authorizes its City Manager to accept awarded funds on behalf of the City for the Hennepin County Active Living Technical Assistance Program Grant and to execute such agreements as may be necessary to implement the project on behalf of the City. March 11 2024 Date ATTEST: �&& City Clerk Mayor Pro Tern The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Kragness and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Butler, Jerzak, Kragness, Lawrence -Anderson and the following voted against the same: none whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
