REGULAR SESSION
JUNE 13, 1995
CITY HALL
CALL TO ORDER
Chairperson Sorenson called the meeting to order at 4:35 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Chairperson Sorenson, Commissioners Peterson, Lasman, Russell, and Schendel were
present. Commissioners Mead and Shinnick were absent. Also in attendance were Council
Liaison Kristen Mann and Public Services Coordinator Jim Glasoe.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES - May 16, 1995
There was a motion by Commissioner Peterson, seconded by Commissioner Russell to
approve the minutes. The motion passed.
ADOPT-A-PARK JULY CLEAN UP
Commissioner Mead was not present at the meeting. He will contact the Commissioners by
phone to set up the July clean up date.
• COUNCIL LIAISON REPORT
Council Liaison Mann reported that the Council had received the involuntary resignation of
the City Manager. She also reported that the city management employees had unionized.
Lastly, she reported that the street construction projects on Humboldt Avenue and in the
Woodbine neighborhood are beginning.
OTHER BUSINESS
Commissioner Russell indicated that the Brooklyn Center Swim Club rents the Community
Center a number of times each year. He reported that the rental fee charged them has not
been increased during the past many years. This item will be placed on the agenda for the
September meeting.
SET MEETING DATE
The next meeting will be September 19, 1995, at 6:30 p.m. in Conference Room A of City
Hall.
MEETING ADJOURNED
Commissioner Russell made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Peterson to adjourn the
meeting at 4:43 p.m. The motion passed.
