HomeMy WebLinkAbout2024-68 CCRMember Graves introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2024-68 RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BID AND AWARDING A CONTRACT TO HOSIER WORLDWIDE, INC. FOR DEMOLITION AND SITEWORK AT 6100 SHINGLE CREEK PKWY WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids Demolition and Site Work at 6100 Shingle Creek Pkwy, bids were received, opened and tabulated on the 13th day of June, 2024. Said bids were as follows: CONTRACTOR TOTAL BID CONTRACTOR TOTAL BID Hosier Worldwide, Inc. Base $422,642.00 Carl Bolander & Sons Base Bid $772,453.00 Bid Alternate Bid $69,049.00 Alternate Bid $41,995.00 Frattalone Companies Base $496,990.00 Landwehr Construction, Inc. Base $796,850.00 Bid Alternate Bid $105,740.00 Bid Alternate Bid $183,700.00 Veit & Company, Inc. Base $532,696.00 Meyer Contracting Inc. Base Bid $1,192,000.00 Bid Alternate Bid $163,060.00 Alternate Bid $130,000.00 Kevitt Excavating Base Bid $695,000.00 Urban Companies Base Bid $1,240,000.00 Alternate Bid $158,250.00 Alternate Bid $110,000.00 WHEREAS, the city's consultant, Bolton and Menk, recommends that the contract be awarded based on the base bid and Alternate bid; WHEREAS, it appears that Hosier Worldwide, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Hosier Worldwide, Inc. in the name of the City of Brooklyn Center, for Demolition and Site Work at 6100 Shingle Creels Pkwy, according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer. 2. The estimated project costs and revenues are as follows: RESOLUTION NO. 2024-68 COSTS Estimate Base Bid $422,642.00 Alternate (Top Soil and seed) $69,049.00 Total Estimated Project Cost $491,691.00 June 24 2024 Date Mayor ATTEST: &&OA'ImA Assistant City Manager/City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Lawrence -Anderson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Graves, Jerzak, Kragness, Lawrence -Anderson and the following voted against the same: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
