RECREATION COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN
CENTER IN THE COUNTY OF HENNEPIN AND THE STATE
OF MINNESOTA
REGULAR SESSION
JUNE 15, 1976

Call to Order The Brooklyn Center Park and Recreation Commission
met in regular session and was called to order by
Chairman Zerban, at 7:10 p.m.
Roll Call Chairman Zerban, Commissioners Johnson, Pickering,
and Whittaker. Also present were Councilman Tony
Kuefler, Director of Parks and Recreation Gene Hagel,
Landscape Technician Bob Hill, and Administrative
Assistant Ronald Warren.
Chairman Zerban reported that Commissioner Hickman
had informed hi: that she would be unable to attend
this evening®s meeting and was, therefore, excused.
Public Hearing Chairman Zerban opened the meeting for purposes of
public comment on the Park Policy Plan. It was noted
that no one spoke relating to the document. The
Chairman then closed the public hearing.
A brief discussion ensued relative to the Park Policy
Plan and a recommendation to the City Council.

Councilman Kuefler stated that the City Council had
adopted the ordinance, containing a provision for permits
for certain specific groups, on Monday, lure 14, 1976
and that the, ordinance became effective today, June 15. •
Councilman Kuefler also stated that he has requested the
City staff to attempt to draw up language, if it is possible,
which would allow individuals to also obtain permits.

Cc.rr. issioner Bogie arrived at 7:40 p.m.
The Director of Park and Recreation stated that the most
urgent item in this list is the proposed shelter building
for Brooklane Park.

Motion by Commissioner Whittaker and seconded by Adjournment
Commissioner Bogle to adjourn the meeting. The motion
passed unanimously. The Brooklyn Center Bark and
Recreation Commission adjourned at 9005 p.m. •
