HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971 03-05 PRMMinutes of the proceedings of the
Park and Recreation Commission of the
CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER in the COUNTY
OF HENNEPIN and the STATE OF MINNESOTA
At a special meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission
held on March 5, 1971, the following motion was made by
Ruth Lind and seconded by Earl Larsen and passed unanimously.
That we of the commission feel it imperative that the
Director of Parks and Recreation not be isolated from his
staff as outlined in the proposed office allotment now
being established for the new City Hall. It is our feel-
ing that this arrangement is impractical and inefficient,
making personal communications between staff and Director
almost impossible.
It is our recommendation that the Director's office be
in the Community Center with the other recreation offices.
