HomeMy WebLinkAbout1962 04-10 RECMVILLAGE OF BROOKLYN CENTER RECREATION COMMISSION MEETING April 10, 1962 MINUTES The regular meeting of the Brooklyn Center Recreation Commission was held at the Village Hall at 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 10, 1962. Members present were Eleanor Houser, Francis Irvin, John Leary, Bruce Morrow, and John Wingard. The minutes of the previous meeting of February 27, 1962, were approved as recorded. The recommended salary schedule for part-time summer personnel was presented and discussed. Motion made by John Leary and seconded by Bruce Morrow to approve the schedule as presented. Motion carried. The salary schedule is as follows: SALARY SCHEDULES Summer, 1962 PLAYGROUND LEADERS (22) Education Hourly Rate Seasonal (8 weeks) 3 Years High School 4 Years High School 1 Year College 2 Years College 3 Years College 4 Years College Degree and Recreation or Teaching Experience $ .85 $221. 1.00 260. 1.25 331. 1.35 351. 1.50 390. 1.70 442. 1.85 1st year 480. 1.90 2nd year 494. 1.95 3rd year 507. Credit will be given for experience but not to exceed one step. Motion Carried. Motion made by Bruce Morrow and seconded by Eleanor Houser to recommend that the Director and Assistant Director be allowed expenses to attend the Annual Spring meeting of the Minnesota Recreation Association in Rochester, April 26 and 27. Motion carried. After a discussion of the proposed summer program and park improvements the meeting was adjourned at 9:45 P.M.
