RECREATION COMMISSION MEETING
February 27, 1962
MINUTES
The regular meeting of the Brooklyn Center Recreation
Commission was held at the Village Hall at 8:00 P.M.,
Tuesday, February 27, 1962. Members prsent were Janet
Johnson and Bruce Morrow. Also present was Assistant
Director James Niles.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as recorded.
Proposed salary schedules were presented and agreed upon as
follows:

It was agreed to operate two additional playgrounds during
the summer, located at Southeast Park and Garden City School.
Leadership will be provided three afternoons a week at
one location and two afternoons a week at the other.
It was agreed to.revise the Baton & Tap policy and put the
instructor on a regular hourly basis.

It was reported that the article about Brooklyn Center
which appeared in Chancrinq Times Magazine in August, 1959,
has been reprinted in the ,changing Times Pamily_ Success
Book, 1962 Edition.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 P.M.
