Minutes of the Proceedings of the Park Beard
of the village of Brooklyn Center in the
County of Henneuin and State of Minnesota
October 27, 1965
'?tae Park Board met in regular session and was called to order by
Paul Sullen, Chairman at 4:30 P. DL
Roll Call: Paul Sullen and Francis Irvin were present.
The minutes of the previous meeting of July 14, 1965, were
approved as recorded.
Motion made by Francis
that part of Dvergreen
Yesnes 6th Edition and
exchange for which the
construction of 72nd k
Motion carried.
Irvin and seconded by Paul Sullen to deed
Park lying South of the proposed Fred S.
North of 72nd Avenue to the developer in
developer will assume all costs of
venue North lying North of Evergreen Park.
The location for skating rinks was reviewed. The lease for a
rink on the West edge of Palmer Lake was approved and signed.
Motion made by Francis Irvin and seconded by Paul Sullen to allow
expenses for the P ae of Rick-o-Shay tables, table tennis
tables and miscellaneous equipment for the Teen Club, payment to
be made from the concession fund. Motion carried.
Motion made by Francis Irvin and seconded by Paul Sullen to allow
the purchase of Public Address systems for Bellvue and Kylawn
shelters, payment to be made from the concession fund.
Notion carried.
The Director reported on the nt to the 1965 budget, the
1966 operating budget, appraisals of contemplated park acquisitions,
and the proposed Farina on the Mississippi River. Discussion ran the
k and &ac a►t ordirAnce too held over till the next meeting,
The Director was instructed to investigate the cost of park signs
and a sign-making machine.
