Minutes of the Proceedings of the Park Board
of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the
Countv of Hennepin and State of Minnesota
June 16, 1965
The Park Board met in regular session and was called to order by
Paul Bullen, Chairman at 5:15 P.M.
Roll Call: Paul Bullen and Francois Irvin were present, Janet Johnson
was absent.
The minutes of the regular meeting of April 8, 1965, the special
meeting of April 28, 1965 and the joint meeting of April 14, 1965,
were approved as recorded.
Member Francis Irvin introduced the following resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING "WORK
(Contrd by Park Board
WHEREAS, Pursuant to a written contract signed with the Park
Board of the Village of Brooklyn Center, D'Arcy Leck Construction
Company, Inc. has satisfactorily completed the following work in
accordance with said contract:
CONSTRUCTION OF PARK SMELTER BUILDINGS
AT BELLVUE AND KYLAWN PARKS
WHEREAS, the members of the Park Board have inspected and
approved the work and thereby recommend its acceptance;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Park Board of the Village
of Brooklyn Center as follows:.
1. The work completed under said contract is hereby accepted
and approved.
2. The officers of the Park Board are hereby authorized and
directed to issue proper order for payment on said contract,
said payment not to exceed ninety per cent (90 of the
contract price including change orders.
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Paul Sullen and upon
vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof:
Paul Sullen and Francis Irvin; and the following voted against the
same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and
adopted.

appraisals on properties as recommended by the

quotations for fencing at Willow Lane Park and
garage. Motion carried.

Motion made by Francis Irvin and seconded by Paul Sullen to pay one-
half the cost of satellites at Garden City Park, Little League to
pay the other half. Motion carried.
The 1966 Park S et was disca"Ad. No official action was taken.
Motion made by Francis,.irvin and see6nded by Paul Sullen to grant
permission to Hodne Associates to enter the Bellvue and Kylawn
Park Shelft= in the 1965 Design Awards Compteition of the
Minnesota.. Jkr.T.. A. Motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:30 P.M.
