HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965 04-08 PKBDM39 Minutes of the Proceedings of the Park Board of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the Countv of Hennepin and State of Minnesota April 8, 1965 The Park Board met in regular session and was called to order by Paul Bullen, Chairman, at 4:00 P.M. Moll Call: Paul Bullen and Francis Irvin were present, Janet Johnson was absent. The minutes of the regular meeting of March 3, 1965 were approved as recorded. Member Francis Irvin i.nttoduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR TENNIS COURTS WHEREAS, the Director of Parks has reported that at 2:00 P.M., Monday, April 5, 1965, he, together with the Village Administrator and Village Engineer, opened and tabulated the bids received for the construction of Tennis courts at Willow Lane Park, and that said bads were as follows: NORTHLAND CONSTRUCTORS INC. $.9,667.60 ALT. add 1,177.00 HENNEPIN BLIKTOPPING CO., INC. $ 10,364.49 ALT. not bid NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Park Board of the Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The bid of Northland Constructors Inc. for the amount of nine thousand, six hundred sixty-seven ddllars and sixty cents. ($9,667.60) is deemed to be the lowest and best bid submitted and said bid is hereby accepted. 2. The officers of the Park Ord are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Northland Constructors Inc. for the construction of tennis courts according to the specifications. The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Paul Bullen and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Pml Bullen and Francis Irvin; and the following voted against the sam: none; whereu said resolution was declared duly passed and ed.
