Minutes of the Proceedings of the Park Board
of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the
Countv of Hennepin and State of Minnesota
July 23, 1963

The Park Board met in special session and was called to order by
Paul Sullen, Chairman, at 7:30 P.M.
Roll Call: Paul Sullen, Francis Irvin, and Dallas Lawrence were
present.
Member Francis Irvin introduced the following resolution and moved
its adoptions
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR FENCING
AND BASEBALL BACKSTOP HOOD
WHEREAS, the Director of Parks has reported that at 10:00 A.M.,
Tuesday, July 23, 1963, he, together with the Village Administrator
opened and tabulated the bids received for fencing and baseball
backstop hood, and that said bids were as follows:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Park Board of the Village of
Brooklyn Center as follows:
1. The bid of Gopher Fence and Mfg. Co. is deemed to be the
best bid submitted and said bid for the amount of $1225.00
is hereby accepted.
2. The officers of the Park Board are hereby authorized to
enter into a contract with Gopher Pence and Mfg. Co. Inc.
for the furnishing and erection of fencing and baseball
backstop hood according to the specifications.

The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Dallas
Lawrence and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in
favor thereof: Paul Sullen, Francis Irvin and Dallas Lawrence;
and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said
resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
Member Dallas Lawrence introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR
PLAYGROUND SHELTER BUILDINGS
WHEREAS, the Director of Parks has reported that at 10:00 A.M.,
Tuesday, July 23, 1963, he, together with the Village Administrator,
opened and tabulated the bids received for the playground shelter
buildings and that said bids were as follows:

NO14 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Park Board of the Village
of Brooklyn Center as follows:
1. The bid of Haldeman-Home is deemed to be the best bid
submitted and said bid for the amount of $4695.00 is
hereby accepted.
2. The officers of the Park Board are hereby authorized to
enter into a contract with Haldeman,-Rome for the
furnishiang,of two shelter buildings according to the
specifications.
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Francis Irvin
and upcn vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor
thereof: Paul Sullen, Francis Irvin, and Dallas Lawrence; and the
following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution
was declared duly passed and adopted.
The outlines for the Swimming Facilities Study Committee and the
Twin Lake Study were received and discussed.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 P.M.
