HomeMy WebLinkAbout1963 06-03 PKBDM45 Minutes of the Proceedings of the Park Board of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the County of Renneoin and State of Minnesota June 3, 1963 The Park Board met in regular session and was called to order by Paul Bullen, Chairman, at 4:30 P.M. Roll Call% Paul Bullen and Dallas Lawrence were present, Francis Irvin was absent. The minutes of the regular meeting of May 6, 1963, were approved as recorded. Motion made by Dallas Lawrence and seconded by Paul Bullen to allow the use of park shelters by groups whose objecives are recreation for youth and open to all, with a reasonable cost for heat and light. Motion carried. Motion made by Dallas Lawrence and seconded by Paul Bullen to request that funds be made available to provide fencing, a back- stop overhang, and a backstop extension at Willow Lane Park. The estimated cost is $1500.00. Motion carried. It was agreed to request funds for the construction of two Dome Shelter Buildings for Willow Lane Park and Garden City School. The estimated cost for materials is $6000.00. The request of the Babe Ruth League to mow and maintain the ball diamond at St. Alphonsus was denied. The plan for the development of the south end of Willow Lane Park was reviewed and discussed. No official action was taken. The Meeting was adjourned at 6s15 P.M. Chairman Secretary
