HomeMy WebLinkAbout1963 10-07 PKBDMMinutes of the Proceedings of the Park Board of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the County of Hein qnd St"t, i to October 7, 1963 The Park Board met in regular session and was called to order by Paul Bullen, chairman, at 7:30 P.M. Roll, Gall: Paul Sullen, Francis Irvin,, and Dallas Lawrence were present. The minutes of the regular meeting of September 9, 1963, were approved as recorded. Motion made by Francis Irvin and seconded by Dallas Lawrence to purchase a Jet Master Sign Kit at a cost of $137.00 to be paid from the Concession Fund. Motion carried. Member Dallas Lawrence introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ADOPTING NAME FOR PARK WHEREAS, a name for the park property located at 65th and Drew Avenue North, adjacent to Garden City School has not been officially adopted and, WHEREAS, it is both desirable and expedient to establish permanent identifying names for each of the parks, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Park Board of the village of Brooklyn Center that the said park property be officially known as: 9100RUAM - PARK The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Haul Bullen and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Paul Sullen, Dallas Lawrence and Francis Irvin; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Discussion followed regarding the joint meeting with the Crystal Park Board on Octelhor 9, in regard to Twin Lakes, and the first organizatioml meeting of the Swimming Facilities Study Committea on October 16.
