of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the
Countv of Hennepin and State of Minnesota
august 6, 1962
The Park Board met in regular session and was called to order
by Paul Bullen, Chairman, at 8:30 P.M.
Roll Calls Paul Bullen, Francis Irvin, and Dallas Lawrence
were present.
The minutes of the regular meeting of July 16, 1962 were
approved as recorded.
The Park Board Budget proposed for 1963 was approved as
presented.
Motion made by Francis Irvin aryl seconded by Dallas Lawrence
to recommend that Eugene Bagel and Dallas Lawrence be allowed
expenses to attend the American institute of Park Executives
Conference in Kansas City, September 23 to 28, and that
Joseph Sienko and James Niles be allowed expenses to attend
the Mid-Continent Park and Recreation Conference in Rochester
Minnesota, August 21 - 24. Motion carried.
The request by the American Little League to permit their
concession stand, bleachers, and dug-out to remain in Garden
City Park through the Fall and Winter was denied.
The Director reported that the full details and estimates
for the repair of the Northport and Garden City Shelter
buildings will be presented at the next meeting of the Park
Board. It was also noted that the Village Attorney has
amended the complaint against Farnsworth Construction Company.
to include Attwell Manufacturing Co.
The Board gratefully acknowledged the contribution by the
Brooklyn Center Jaycees of two hundred nineteen dollars and
forty-eight cents ($219.48) for the purchase of six Mushroom
Slides.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 P.M.
