May 7, 1962 1 The Park Board met in regular session and was called to order by Paul Bullen, Chairman at 7:15 P.M. Roll Call: Paul Bullen, Francis Irvin, and Dallas Lawrence were present. The minutes of the regular meeting of April 2, 1962, and the special meeting of April 13, 1962, were approved as recorded. Member Francis Irvin introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR GRADING ORCHARD LANE PARK (FORMERLY CALLED DONNAY PARK) 1 WHEREAS, the Director of Parks has reported that at 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 7, 1962, he, together with the Village Administrator and Village Engineer, opened and tabulated the bids received for grading Orchard Lane Park, and that said bids were as follows: Veit and Company, Inc. $2985.00 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Park Board of the Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The bid, of Veit and Company, Inc. in the amount of $2985.00 is hereby accepted. 2. The officers of the Park Board are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Veit and Company, Inc. for grading according to the plans and specifications. I The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Dallas Lawrence and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Paul Bullen, Francis Irvin, and Dallas Lawrence; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Motion by Francis Irvin and seconded by Dallas Lawrence to approve and sign the agreement with the American Little League for the use of the diamond in Garden City Park. Motion Carried. Concession profits for the past skating season were reported as follows: POP $554.08 candy 89.87 TOTAL $643.95 The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 P.M. Chairman Secretary
