November 6, 1961 The Park Board met in regular session and was called to order by Paul Bullen, Chairman at 7:30 P.M. Roll Call: Paul Bullen and Dallas Lawrence were present, Francis Irvin was absent. The minutes of the last regular meeting of September 11, 1961, were approved as recorded. Construction progress of the shelter building in Triangle Park was discussed. It was agreed to extend the time limit for completion to December 1, 1961. It was reported that the Gray Condemnation appeal case has been delayed two weeks. The leases for skating rinks on Hipp property and Brandon property were approved and signed. It was reported that the concession fund has a balance of $1006.59. Motion made by Dallas Lawrence and seconded by Paul Bullen to purchase two public address systems to be installed at Garden City and Rice Parks, to be paid from concession profits. Motion carried. Motion made by Dallas Lawrence and seconded by Paul Bullen to have Northern States Power Company install a Nightwatch Light at the Park Garage. Motion Carried. Concession operations at the Warming Houses was discussed. The Director was instructed to work out the arrangements regarding soft drinks and to investigate the possibilities of vending machines for candy and pop corn. It was reported that sewer hook-up has been made at 803-55th Ave. North. The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 P.M. 6 Chairman Secretary
