of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the
County of Eennepin and State of Minnesota
August 31, 1961
The Park Board met in special session and was called
to order by Francis Irvin, acting Chairman, at 3:30 P.M.
Roll Call: Francis Irvin and Dallas Lawrence were
present. Paul Sullen was absent.
Member Dallas Lawrence introduced the following resolu-
tion and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS
FOR PW1,YGROUND BITUMINOUS
SURF2X ING
WHEREAS, the Director of Parks has reported teat on
August 28, 1961, at 10:00 A.M., he, together with
the Village Administrator and the Village Engineer,
opened and tabulated the bids received for playground
surfacing at Rice, Northport, and Garden City Parks,
and that said bids were as follows:
Dunkley Surfacing Co., Inc.
Bituminous Construction Co.,Inc.
C.S. McCrossan, Inc.
$2,432.65
3,376.10
2,987.20
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Park Board
of the.X il.age of Brooklyn Center as follows:
1. It is hereby determined that it is for the
best interest of the Village that all bids be
rejected and work will be re-advertised in the
Spring of 1962.
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Francis Irvin and upon vote being taken thereon
the following voted in favor thereof: Francis Irvin,
and Dallas Lawrence; and the following voted against the
same: None; Whereupon said resolution was declared
duly passed and adopted.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:15 P.M.
