The Park F,oard met in regular session and vas called to order
by Paul Bullen, Chairman # at 7:30 P.TJIe
Roll Calls Paul lullen and Francis Irvin were presente Dallas
Lawrence was absent.
The minutes of the regular meeting of April 11, 1960, were approved
as recorded.
Fare Manson was present to discuss the extension of Perry avenue
through to 69 th !avenue 'forth, and the development of the
property lyinL 6d,jacent to the park. No official action vas
taken.
The written agreement between the Park Board, Little League,
and Pale Ruth was reviewed and additions noted, The Super-
intendent was instructed to have the agreements executed with
officials of the respective lealuese
Lonh ran; e park financint including, a capital in provehant pxogram,
operating: expenses, assessments, and bond redemption vas dis-
cussed. Oo official action rats taken.
A request to errect a fence in Rice Park at the rear of 5018 Wo
Lilac Drive Or, Froelich) was received. Since the toard has
adopted a policy of not erectinb fence Were private property
adjoins park property, the request was denied.
motion made by Francis Irvin and seconded by Paul Cullen to
approve the purch_ rF e of "Shady Place" grass seed for Northport
and Rice Parks at a cost not to exceed 033.10, to tie paid from
the Frond Funde

approve the statment of Village Attorney Don Fraser, dated
April 11, 1960, in tLe amount of 750.00, to be paid from the
Bond Fund.

The role that local Garden Clubs can play in the development
and beautification of parks was discussed, It teas agreed to
continue to vork with these groups on park projects.
It was announced that the State Division of Forestry is
shippint 1500 seedling that were ordered last Fall, These
trees, which include 750 Iced Pine, 500 '.bite Pine, and 250
Qite Spruce will be planted and cared for in the Y eat end
of Kyle Park by the Roy Scouts.
