of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the
County of Hennepin and State of Minnesota.
April 11, 1960
The Park Board met in regular session and was called to order by
Paul Bullen, Chairman, at 7 00 P.M.
Roll Callt Paul Bullen, Francis Irvin, and Dallam Lance were presents
The minute of the regular meeting of March 7, 1960s were approved as
recorded.
Motion made by Dallas Lawrence and seconded by F'rafitib tklih that the
Superintendent draw up a written policy governing the use of Garden
City Park by Little League and Triangle Park by Babe Ruth League. This
policy is to be presented to the respective Leagues after Park Board
approval and will specify Board policy regarding use of the diamonds,
erection of bleachers, concessions, electric power, policing, and
parking, Motion carried.
It was agreed to have the Superintendent draw up a written agreement
regarding the division of maintenance at Willow Lane School » Park, to
be submitted to the Park Board and the School Board for approval.
Motion made by Francis Irvin and seconded by Dallas Lawrence to approve
the statement of William L. Voigt, Surveyor, in the amount of $780000
for surveying and drawing up a Record Plat for Northport Park Addition.
Payment to be made from the Bond Fund. Motion carried.
It was agreed to hire Bob Leonard for part-time summer maintenance
labor provided that it did not conflict with Village Personnel Ordinances.
Motion made by Dallas Lawrence and seconded by Francis Irvin to purchase
two climbers Q 5145.00, two swing sets 0 6129.85, and two slides
0 $225.00 to be installed in Rice and Kyle Parks, Total Cost: $999#70
to be paid from the Bond Fund. Motion carried.
The Board agreed to make a study of ordinances governing Park operations
and regulations prior to submitting recommendations to the Council.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:45 P.11.
