The Park Board met in special session and was called to order by
Paul Bullen, Chairman, at 7:30 P-1-T.
present.
Roll Cadl: Paul Bullen, Dallas Lawrence, and Francis Irvin were
Mr. L. J. (Bud) Gleason, ap_raiser, reviewed his appraisal of
Southeast property with a committee of Southeast property owners. The
comr.ittee requested that a price of thirteen dollars ($13.00) per foot
be considered. No official action was taken.
Mr. Morris Evans, -504/0 Osseo Road, requested that he be allowed
to retain thirty feet of property lying West of the tentative boundary
line established by the Park Board. Mr. Evans stated that the additional
footage is needed to expand present garage facilities. Action was deferred
pendinz further study.
Mr. Williemi Askea, 3318 50th Avenue North, requested that he be
allowed to retain twenty feet of property lying North of the tentative
boundary line established by the Park Board. Mr. Askea also requested that
the Board consider a price of 0,000.00 per acre for the property, plus
compensation for grape vines and fruit trees and $150.00 each for two sheds
located on the property. Action was deferred pending further study.
Mr. J. R. Carlson, 3310 50th Avenue North reviewed boundaries
established by the Board and requested that action be deferred pending
completion of his appraiser's report. The Board agreed to comply with Mr.
Carlson's request.
Motion made by Dallas Lawrence and seconded by Francis Irvin to
table action on the Steven Krepis property, Parcel 3550, Lot 5, Block 32
Bellvue Acres, pending outcome of negotiations with other property owners
at Southeast Park. Motion carried.
Motion made by Dallas Lawrence and seconded by Francis Irvin that
Robert Corvine, landscape architect, be authorized to proceed with a pre-
liminary plan for the development of Garden City Park. Motion carried.
Motion made by Dallas Lawrence and seconded by Francis Irvin that
the Park Board purchase two five-row, eighteen foot bleachers from Safway
Steel Scaffolds, Minneapolis, Minnesota, at a cost of $150.00 each, plus
the necessary lumber, to be paid from the Bond Fund. Motion carried.
Motion made by Francis Irvin and seconded by Dallas Lawrence that
the Park Board purchase a Dry-line Marker, Model No. 1, from Beacon Products
Company, Milwaukee, Wisconsin at a cost of $65.50. Motion carried.
Motion made by Dallas Lawrence and seconded by Francis Irvin that
the Park Board urchase a McCulloch Model D-44, 18 inch chain saw at a
cost of $206.55. Motion carried.
