HomeMy WebLinkAbout1996-223 CCR1 1 its adoption: Member Debra Hilstrom introduced the following resolution and moved RESOLUTION NO. 96 -223 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION AND APPRECIATION FOR THE PUBLIC SERVICE OF ORGANIZATIONS PARTICIPATING IN BROOKLYN CENTER'S ADOPT -A -PARK, ADOPT -A- TRAIL, AND ADOPT -A- STREET PROGRAMS WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center determined that it is in the City's interest to operate volunteer programs that involve the community in the maintenance of city parks, trails, and streets; and WHEREAS, the following organizations have generously volunteered their time and energy participating in the Adopt -A -Park, Adopt -A- Trail, and Adopt -A -Street programs; and WHEREAS, it is appropriate that their service to the community be recognized. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that the public service of the following groups is hereby recognized and appreciated: Allina Receivable Services Barnacle Bill's Steak Seafood Boy Scout Troop #401 Brookdale Chrysler Plymouth Brooklyn Center Charter Commission Brooklyn Center City Employee Action Committee Brooklyn Center Community Oriented Policing Brooklyn Center Lions Club Brooklyn Center Lioness Club Brooklyn Center Rotary Club Brooklyn Swim Club Brooklyn United Methodist Church Brookpark Dental Center Bullfrogs Butterflies Child Care Children's World Children's Residential Services Cub Scouts Den 5 Pack 401 Earle Brown Elementary Evergreen Park School PTO Friends of Freeway Park Friends of Riverdale Park Garden City Elementary Girl Scout Troop #1081 Girl Scout Troop #1606 Girl Scout Troop #1789 Girl Scout Troop #759 Hi -Crest Rental Homes Kathleen Carmody and Family Kids On The Move Daycare Looney Weavers Minneapolis North Hilton Staff Palmer Lake Elementary Park Recreation Commission Ray and Dolores Beach Region B Campfire Boys and Girls Riverwood Neighbors Target, Brooklyn Center "Good Neighbors" Tim Olson Todd Paulson Family Willow Lane Student Council 1 1 1 RESOLUTION NO. 96 -223 November 12, 1996 /rer—g/ Date U Mayor ATTEST: City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Kristen Mann and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Myrna Kragness, Kathleen Carmody, Debra Hilstrom, Kristen Mann, and Charles Nichols; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed am adopted.
