HomeMy WebLinkAbout1996-052 CCR1 1 adoption: Member Debra Hilstrom introduced the following resolution and moved its RESOLUTION NO. 96 -52 RESOLUTION DECLARING EARLE BROWN DAYS AS A CIVIC EVENT FROM JTTNF. 21 THROTTCH JTTNF. i0 19415 WHEREAS, the purpose of Earle Brown Days is to promote the City of Brooklyn Center, its people, and amenities; and WHEREAS, residents, the city community civic groups, and businesses participate in the annual civic celebration to demonstrate the vitality of the City of Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, in order for Earle Brown Days, Inc. to schedule certain events requiring City -issued administrative land use permits, it is necessary for Earle Brown Days to be declared a civic event. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that Earle Brown Days are declared a civic event from June 21, 1996, through June 30, 1996. March 11, 1996 Date ATTEST: i A City Clerk Q Mayo The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Kristen Mann and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Myrna Kragness, Kristen Mann, Debra Hilstrom, and Kathleen Carmody; and the following voted against the same: none whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
