HomeMy WebLinkAbout1996-082 CCR1 1 1 adoption: Member Kristen Mann introduced the following resolution and moved its RESOLUTION NO. 96 -82 RESOLUTION DESIGNATING 1996 PLANTING LIST OF ALLOWABLE BOULEVARD TREE SPECIES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center promotes a diverse urban forest so as to minimize the spread of tree disease; and WHEREAS, section 20-402 of the ordinances provides for an annual listing of allowable boulevard tree varieties. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that the following trees are hereby designated as allowable boulevard tree species for 1996: Ash (Autumn Purple) Crabapple (Flowering) cultivars Hackberry Honeylocust (Imperial, Shademaster, Skyline, Thornless) Ironwood Japanese Tree Lilac April 8, 1996 Date ATTEST: n0 t A 1,(,(� City Clerk Linden (American) cultivars Linden (Littleleaf) cultivars Maple (Norway) cultivars Maple (Red) cultivars Maple (Sugar) cultivars Oak (Pin) Oak (White or Bur) The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Kathleen Carmody and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Myrna Kragness, Kristen Mann, Debra Hilstrom, Kathleen Carmody, and Charles Nichols; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
