HomeMy WebLinkAbout1996-118 CCR1 1 1 its adoption: Member Kathleen Carmody introduced the following resolution and moved RESOLUTION NO. 96 -118 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FUNDING FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE 69TH AVENUE BRIDGE OVER SHINGLE CREEK WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center has applied to the Commissioner of Transportation for a grant from the Minnesota State Transportation Fund for the reconstruction of bridge No.27A33 over Shingle Creek; and WHEREAS, the amount of the grant has been determined to be $167,986.00 by reason of the lowest responsible bid. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that the City of Brooklyn Center does hereby affirm that any cost of the bridge in excess of the grant will be appropriated from the funds available to the City, and that any grant monies appropriated for the bridge but not required, based on the final estimate, shall be returned to the Minnesota State Transportation Fund.
