HomeMy WebLinkAbout1996-045 CCR1 1 adoption: Member Kathleen Carmody introduced the following resolution and moved its RESOLUTION NO. 96 -45 RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENTS AND AUTHORIZING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NOS. 1996 -01, 02, AND 03, ORCHARD LANE EAST, STREET, STORM DRAINAGE, AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS, CONTRACT 1996 -B WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center City Council on February 26, 1996 authorized consideration of street, storm drainage, and utility improvements in the area generally described as north of 63rd Avenue North, south of I -94, west of and including Marlin Drive, and east of and including Orchard Avenue N., an area referred to as the "Orchard Lane East Area and WHEREAS, the Council has previously received and accepted a feasibility report for said proposed improvements, as prepared by the City Engineer; and WHEREAS, Resolution 96-22 adopted on the 22nd of January, 1996 set a date for a public hearing regarding proposed improvements for the Orchard Lane East Area; and WHEREAS, ten days published notice of the hearing was given and the hearing thereon was held on the 26th day of February, 1996, at which time all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered all comments, testimony, evidence, and reports offered at or prior to the February 26, 1996 hearing. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that: ATTEST: 1. Improvement Project Nos. 1996 -01, 02, and 03, Orchard Lane East Area Roadway, Storm Drainage, and Utility Improvements, Contract 1996 -B is hereby ordered. 2. The City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to develop final plans and specifications for said improvements. February 26, 1996 Date City Clerk Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Kristen Mann and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Myrna Kragness, Kristen Mann, Debra Hilstrom, and Kathleen Carmody; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
